Let me just clarify that the tooth fairy has not been to our house. Well at least not for Miss A. Big Bro, aka lil DC (if you can even call him lil) has been visited by the tooth fairy of course, but that’s another story.
My sweet little niece, K-bear, lost her first tooth. And let me just say her tooth fairy was very, very generous. She scored 30 bucks for her tooth. I hope that tooth fairy knows she (more like HE) has just set a precedence. She’s got a lot more teeth to lose.
So what did Nene do (she’s also my goddaughter), Nene had to make something to put her next tooth in. I was on a mission. My sister isn’t crafty so she let’s me do all that stuff.
I found tons of tooth fairy pillows but that’s not what I was looking for. The best part of losing a tooth was putting it under your pillow. I use to have this little round tooth box. It made it a bit challenging for the tooth fairy to fit all that change in so I opted for something a little bigger & softer. I made her a tooth fairy envelope. I love it!
While I was searching for ideas, I ran across this adorable tooth fairy note over at thedoodlegirl.com. I think it’s the cutest doodle.
I added a little text so my niece could leave a little “invoice” for the tooth fairy. Plus it doubles as a record for the tooth fairy to keep. You know, a little memento.

Now she can slip this little card in with her tooth. I think I’ll definitely be doing this when sweet pea looses her first tooth but until then, this one is for my K-bear.
What tooth fairy traditions do you have?
